SIMONE SABBIETI

Simone Sabbieti was born in Florence, Italy, the cradle of Italian art, in 1959. After graduating in the history of art at the Art institute and architecture at the University of Florence, Simone began work in the advertising industry as a graphic designer, finally becoming art director in large international agencies like McCann Erickson and Leader. Simone, passionate about photography travelled to America to develop his skills at the Brooks Institute in Santa Barbara, California, and this course became the springboard for his career as a professional photographer. Simone's love affair with photography began in 1990, and he immediately realised he had discovered the expressive means best suited to his communication style. Two years later he worked with Coca Cola Italy, contributing to their magazine "Mediterraneum" as a life style photographer.
In New York in 1992 he photographed international jet-set celebrities and completed photo reportage features for the La Repubblica editorial group magazines. In the future, various collaborations were born, creating photographic images also for Sette del Corriere della Sera, Vanity Fair, Vogue Sport, Sportweek. His artistic journey continued image by image - his life and lifestyle portraits captures emotions and actions, freezing them in a single, emotionally-charged shot.

His cinematic style “on the road” he portrays the characters proved successful and led to commissions from brands like Armani Jeans, Ralph Lauren, Loro Piana, Kookai Paris, Red Bull, Polaroid sunglasses, Fossil, Carrera sunglasses, Louis Vuitton, Guess, Replay, Michael Kors, American Eagle, Jimmy Choo sunglasses, Givenchy glasses, Chanel sun glasses photographing various international celebrities as their testimonial brands. Simone has collaborated with Vanity Fair, Glamour, Sportweek, Vogue Sport, 7 Sette by Rizzoli, Il Venerdi di Repubblica. He held a one man show in Milan in 2010 and contributed images to many social initiatives by Sotheby's Internacional. He moved to Ibiza, Spain in 2011, and here, until 2014 he works as creative director and photographer for Blue Marlin Ibiza magazine from Simone Sabbieti designed and built. A large format and truly cosmopolitan hub magazine with a focus on features contemporary culture and lifestyle ranging across the arts, fashion, sport, travel, cinema, music, society, capturing the tastes and desires of a fashionable and avant-garde crowd: distributed throughout Europe - contributing fashion features as a freelance photographer.
Simone continues to work for Advertising, Life Style, Fashion and Portraits. He currently lives between Barcelona e Milan.
